Entries for the 2024 Peter Drucker Challenge Essay Contest are now being accepted. General Requirements:

  • Ages 18 to 35 are the required range for participants.
  • Applicants must not have been previous laureates of the Drucker Challenge or have participated in the Drucker Forum in such a capacity before. This includes not being a former winner, runner-up, or finalist of the Drucker Challenge.
  • Former students who have transitioned to a career at a university or have become managers or entrepreneurs are also ineligible.

Essay Category Requirements:

  • Participants may submit one essay in either the student or professional category, based on their primary occupation.

Student Category:

  • Applicants must be part-time or full-time students (at the undergraduate, graduate, MBA, or PhD level), or individuals seeking their first opportunity after completing their most recent degree.

Professional Category:

  • This category is open to individuals who serve as managers of people, projects, budgets, and/or processes, entrepreneurs or business owners, licensed professionals, or social volunteers/community leaders.

Prizes:

The prize breakdown is as follows:

  • First Place (Gold): €2,000
  • Second Place (Silver): €1,200
  • Third Place (Bronze): €1,000

Essay Format:

  • Word Count: Between 1500 to 3000 words (excluding footnotes and graphics), submitted as a PDF or Word document
  • Font Size: 12 points
  • Language: English
  • Anonymity: The participant’s name must not appear anywhere in the essay

Exclusivity:

Entries must be the sole work of the participant, with no collaboration or group work allowed. Submissions must be created specifically for this competition and must not have been previously published elsewhere.

Originality:

Participants must write the essay entirely by themselves without the use of any assistance from tools like Chat-GPT or similar Generative AI software. Entries found to have been created with such assistance will be disqualified, and the author will be ineligible to participate in future contests.
