Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 UNHCR Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative (DAFI) UNHCR’s Scholarship Programme.
The DAFI Fund, contributed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Germany, is a dedicated voluntary fund administered by UNHCR. Windle International Uganda collaborates with UNHCR-Uganda to serve as the local implementing partner for the DAFI Scholarship Programme.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must:
- Reside in Uganda as a refugee and be officially registered with both OPM Uganda and UNHCR-Uganda.
- Be aged between 18 and 35 years as of January 1, 2024 (born between January 1, 1989, and January 1, 2006).
- Have completed secondary school and possess their official original Pass slips or equivalents, such as Diploma d’etat, University diplomas, Higher Education Access Certificate, etc. (if relevant) during the application process.
- Possess a recognized DIT Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) certificate, which will be considered for TVET courses.
- Have basic English proficiency (both oral and written).
- Face financial barriers to accessing or completing undergraduate post-secondary education.
