The Oppenheimer Impact Scholarship program is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for its 2023-2024 Scholar project, which will focus on “Adaptation to Coastal Hazards in Southern Africa.” The beneficiary will receive training to help them carry out a project that will improve the accessibility and value of scientific information and predictions to policymakers and planning practitioners in coastal settings. This will help support sustainable development and adaptation to rising sea levels and increasing storm surges.
Eligibility:
- Applicants are required to possess citizenship in an African nation, and Mozambique natives will be given precedence over other nationalities.
- Applicants are required to have qualifications that are equal to a First or Second Class Upper UK Honours degree in a suitable area of science or technology, and they are required to have applied for a place on the MSc Global Sustainability Solutions program.
- If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate that you can fulfill our criteria for written and spoken English.
