Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) Internship Program. The OFID Internship Program provides an opportunity for students from various academic backgrounds to gain practical experience with an international organization. The program typically spans between three to six months and aims to:
- Offer structured support to interns within any department of the OPEC Fund, ensuring their experience is enriching.
- Provide an immersive environment for interns to acquire practical insights into working within an international organization.
- Enable interns to familiarize themselves with the vision, mission, and values of the OPEC Fund.
Interns are placed in different departments or units based on their interests, qualifications, and organizational needs. The Internship Program encompasses various areas of focus, including but not limited to public sector operations, private sector, and trade finance operations, financial operations, risk management, strategic planning and economic services, administration, communication, internal audit, human resources, legal services, and information technology.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be aged between 19 to 25 years and enrolled in an undergraduate program (with at least two years completed) or a graduate program.
- Alternatively, recent graduates who have completed their studies within one year before the application deadline are eligible to apply.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, while a good working knowledge of Arabic, French, German, or Spanish is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is necessary.
- A strong interest in the work of the OPEC Fund is essential.
- Ability to thrive in an international, multicultural environment with a respectful and sensitive approach toward diversity.
- Capability to demonstrate alignment with the OPEC Fund’s core values, which include Integrity, Empowerment, Excellence, Innovation, and Community.
