Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 Next Generation Foresight Practitioners (NGFP) Fellowship. This fellowship presents an opportunity for young professionals to receive additional support as they embark on exploring the future and foresight domains. Recognizing that the journey of a futurist can often feel solitary, especially for young individuals who often engage in this practice alongside their regular jobs and without compensation, the fellowship aims to address this by providing a platform for the next generation of futures and foresight enthusiasts to connect with peers worldwide. Additionally, fellows will benefit from mentorship opportunities, the chance to enhance their foresight skills, engagement in regional and sector-specific networks, and access to funding for the development of foresight projects. Furthermore, fellows will have the privilege of participating in significant events within the futures and foresight fields and establishing connections with influential decision-makers.
Requirements:
- Individuals aged between 18 and 35, or those older but with less than five years of experience in foresight.
- The NGFP is particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals residing in the Global South and those addressing the world’s most intricate challenges or engaging in Foresight Transformation Missions.
Funding:
- At the commencement of the program, each fellow is awarded a USD 1,000 grant to advance and expedite their project.
- Upon completion of the one-year program, all fellows have the opportunity to compete for the Fellowship Main Prize, which entails a larger grant (minimum USD 10,000) and recognizes those who have maximized their journey.
