Nestle Nigeria Plc is thrilled to introduce the second phase of its community scholarship program, dedicated to empowering young individuals in its host communities.
This initiative is tailored to provide educational opportunities for deserving students, enabling them to pursue their educational and personal aspirations through financial sponsorship.
As of now, the program benefits approximately 109 students from the communities surrounding Owode-Egba, Sagamu, Abaji, and Agbara, where Nestle’s factories are located.
Initially launched in 2020, this scholarship program primarily covered the host communities of the company’s factories located at Sagamu Interchange, Ogun State, and Abaji, the Federal Capital Territory. It has now been expanded to include the host community of the company’s third factory in Agbara, Ogun State.
The Nestle Nigeria Community Scholarship Scheme is categorized into two segments: senior secondary and tertiary. Under these categories, students will receive comprehensive financial support, covering tuition, accommodation, uniforms, books, and other educational expenses throughout their academic journey.
This scholarship initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, fostering lifelong learning opportunities for all by 2030.
The Nestle Nigeria Community Scholarship Scheme is dedicated to closing the educational gap, providing financial assistance to empower young individuals to successfully complete their science and technology studies in both secondary and tertiary education.
Nestle Nigeria is unwavering in its commitment to nurturing the talents and ambitions of young individuals in its host communities, thereby making a substantial contribution to their educational growth and the overall advancement of society.
