In its endeavour to foster a peaceful and prosperous community through quality education, the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited is establishing a scholarship/bursary scheme to support students who are indigenes or residents of the Division and are pursuing their education in various public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The aim is to promote outstanding academic performance and excellence, fostering a hub for human development and investment growth for the future of the Ikorodu division.
In addition to advancing higher quality education and serving as a human resources hub for the division, there is a pressing need to support financially disadvantaged students in their educational pursuits, particularly in light of the challenges posed by the post-COVID-19 era and the severe global economic downturn. This situation has made it difficult for many parents to meet the educational needs of their children, leading to a significant number of dropouts who become vulnerable to various social issues such as crime, cultism, and hooliganism. It is against this backdrop that the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited Scholarship/Bursary Scheme is being established to provide educational support to the youth demographic as a proactive measure to address these challenges.
