Program / Event Manager

Job Overview

  • The event manager is in charge of designing strategies, programs, procedures, and plans to conduct promotional, corporate, and social events.
  • They are in charge of organizing a variety of events, ensuring that the target audience is engaged and that the event’s message is adequately promoted.
  • The manager is in charge of the whole process, from planning through event execution and post-event assessment.
  • The job is mostly hands-on; it entails directing a team and, eventually, providing assistance that aids in the achievement of the organization’s event/program goal.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the event from start to finish in accordance with the criteria, target audience, and objectives o Provide ideas to improve the event’s success
  • Set budgets and ensure adherence o Conduct promotional activities for the event
  • Coordinate all event operations
  • Orchestrates the company’s services and big event production needs by building partners and teams to work with.
  • Approve all aspects before the day of the event
  • produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
  • Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
  • Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports.

Qualification and Requirement

  • B.Sc. / BA in Public Relations, Marketing, Social Sciences / Management / Arts, or any other relevant discipline.
  • 4 – 5 years of work experience in a relevant context o Further professional credentials will be an advantage.
  • Proven event management expertise and project management skills.

Financial Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Head of Finance will oversee all financial activities for the firm and ensure that money and resources are used wisely; he/she will report on costs, productivity, margins, and corporate expenditures.
  • The ideal applicant will be responsible for collaborating with senior management to build financial plans for the organization, processing significant volumes of data, serving as a business partner, decision maker, and delivering regular financial reporting. Model creation and forecasting are among the tasks of the Financial Director.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, control, monitor finances and ensure adherence to statutory requirements, asses financial risk and strive for operational efficiencies within the organization.
  • Implement the policy & procedures relating to financial management, accounting and budget planning and to improve the quality of Church operations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all relevant tax returns, including but not limited
  • to Income Tax, VAT and Employment Taxes.
  • Ensure timely and robust financial reporting of the Finance Function for monthly management accounts, budgets, re-forecasts, cash flow, Organize internal audits and other requests
  • Advise and update management on irregularities in any financial matters
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investment and analyze financial trends
  • Maintain and administer internal control and compliance policy ensuring that all key risks are covered by appropriate rules and that line management have an effective system in place to identify, monitor and measures risks management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related discipline with 5 – 7 years of relevant experience
  • Professional qualifications like (ICAN, ACA) is required
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, taxation and principles
  • Sound business knowledge and ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way
  • IT proficiency with Advanced Excel skill and the ability to use accounting software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong numerical abilities.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure within the deadlines.

3.)  Foreign Operations Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Summary

  • The Foreign Operations Manager is the chief of staff in charge of the organization’s process of overseas operations. The functions of the foreign Operations Manager cover a broad range of issues ranging from financial and human resources management; procurement; IT; general administration; travel and logistics.
  • He or she must be able to comprehend the business matters and possibilities cropping up from executing or completing business tasks and undertakings overseas.
  • As a Foreign Operations Manager, you will need to coordinate with employees in different geographical areas to implement strategies, processes, and policies in line with foreign laws and regulations as well as ensure compliance regarding all our financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up new ventures, initiatives or churches in territories outside of Nigeria
  • Ensuring legal, financial and regulatory compliance in each territory for the setup and continuous operations
  • Handles the recruitment of operational personnel and setting up of foreign offices
  • Ensures company is e not liable or exposed legally overseas
  • Responsible for timely and accurate filing for regulatory and financial obligations of all overseas entities
  • Maintains healthy relationships with relevant stakeholders and government agencies in territories where our operations are domiciled
  • Ensure that goals and projects are communicated in a way that shows collaborating teams.
  • Resolve conflicts and ensure that team health and harmony are always at their best.
  • Ensures that all foreign entities operations are compliant with our organization’s policies, standards and values
  • Work with teams, units, and managers to understand their goals and map out execution Strategies

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Social Sciences / Management/ Arts or any other related field.
  • Additional professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Work experience and skills:

  • 8 to 10 years of work experience in a related environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have a strong background in overseas operations management, preferably in travel but other similar sectors such as retail, hospitality will be an added advantage
  • Experience of strategic decision-making and service delivery to meet ambitious targets
  • Ability to lead and get the best from remote teams
  • Ample travel experience with the Flexibility to travel regularly.
