Scholarship Details:
The Graduate Program in Life Sciences at Université PSL provides a comprehensive France Excellence PSL Scholarship for advanced study and research, spanning from the Master’s to the Doctorate level, in life sciences. Through collaboration with PSL research laboratories, five Laboratories of Excellence (LabEx), and PSL’s Q-LIFE Institute, the program offers Master’s degrees with a strong emphasis on research. Additionally, students have the option to take elective courses aimed at enhancing their transdisciplinary skills and broadening their academic experience.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the France Excellence Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The scholarships are available to students applying for the 1st or 2nd year of the Master’s program in Life Sciences
- The courses within the Integrative Physiopathology track of the Master’s program in Life Sciences are taught in French.
- Applicants should have scientific interests aligned with those of the PSL Graduate Program in Life Sciences.
- Scholarship recipients are required to complete a 6-month research internship in one of the laboratories affiliated with the PG Life Sciences, as listed on the provided link.
- Exceptions for requesting an individualized development plan are only permitted in cases of medical conditions affecting schooling.
- Recipients must fulfill their academic obligations for the school year.
Benefits:
- The PSL Graduate Program in Life Sciences provides two merit-based scholarships to students enrolled in the 1st or 2nd year of the Master’s program in Life Sciences, particularly in the Integrative Physiopathology track, for the academic year 2024/25.
- The grant amounts to 1000 euros per month for 10 months. Selected candidates are also required to undertake a 6-month research internship in one of the laboratories affiliated with the PG Life Sciences.
Required Documents
To finish the application procedure, applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:
- A letter of application outlining how the applicant’s scientific interests align with those of the Graduate Program in Life Sciences and why the scholarship is crucial for their graduate studies.
- A comprehensive CV and transcripts from the previous academic year (transcripts from the final year of bachelor’s studies if applying for the 1st year of the Master’s in Life Sciences, or transcripts from the 1st year of the master’s program if applying for the 2nd year).
- An academic letter of recommendation.
- For applicants seeking entry into the 2nd year of the Master’s program, a letter of recommendation from a scientific tutor (internship supervisor) is mandatory, while it is optional for those applying for the 1st year of the Master’s.
- Any other scholarships or financial aid received by the candidate should also be disclosed.
