Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025 Committee for International Cooperation and Development (CICOPS) Scholarships.
To foster international collaboration, especially with Developing Countries (as classified by the World Bank in low, lower middle, and upper middle-income economies), the University of Pavia and the Institute of the Right to University Studies (EDiSU) are offering six scholarships for visiting scholars in 2025. The duration of the stay at the University of Pavia ranges from 4 to 12 weeks.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of teaching experience or involvement in activities within international organizations and institutions.
- The scholarships target both junior and senior members of universities in Developing Countries, as well as members of major research centers and international organizations or institutions with a specific interest in development studies.
- CICOPS scholarships support short-term research collaborations and promote the mobility of researchers from developing nations.
- Applicants enrolled in doctorate or postgraduate courses at Italian universities are not eligible to apply.
Application Procedure
- To facilitate interaction between staff and students, the visit should occur within the following periods: January 13th – July 20th, 2025, and September 8th – December 21st, 2025.
- To submit your application, please visit http://cicops.unipv.it/cicops-scholarships/ and fill out the online application form before May 31st, 2024.
- The following documents must be uploaded to the online form:
- Curriculum vitae, preferably in European format, along with a list of publications (file named: Surname_Name_CV)
- Letter of invitation from the professor or researcher with whom collaboration is intended (file named: Surname_Name_Letter). Uploaded documents should adhere to the specified naming convention.
- Applications lacking appropriately named curriculum vitae and invitation letter will not be considered.
- Please complete the application form only after receiving the acceptance letter from your contact professor at the University of Pavia. Incomplete applications will be disregarded, with no exceptions.
