EUTOPIA The European University Alliance proudly announces the launch of 16 post-doctoral fellowships within the EUTOPIA Science and Innovation Fellowships Program (EUTOPIA-SIF). These positions are scheduled to commence in September 2024 at partner universities collaborating with EUTOPIA-SIF.
Program Highlights:
EUTOPIA-SIF fellowships provide an exceptional platform for aspiring young researchers to nurture their research endeavors within the intellectually stimulating academic atmosphere of the EUTOPIA Alliance. The program strongly emphasizes research mobility and mandates two essential secondment periods: one at another EUTOPIA university (co-host university) and another at an external academic or non-academic partner institution. These experiences aim to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit, tangible research impact, and innovation among fellows. Furthermore, the program offers a comprehensive training curriculum, career guidance, and academic mentorship.
Fellowship Details:
Post-doctoral fellows under EUTOPIA-SIF will be recruited by one of the six EUTOPIA universities participating in the program, which include Vrije Universiteit Brussel, CY Cergy Paris University, the University of Gothenburg, the University of Ljubljana, Pompeu Fabra University-Barcelona, and The University of Warwick. Selection is based on the merit of their individual research projects and the quality of their academic profiles. Successful candidates from the 2023–24 application cycle will assume their positions in September 2024.

Eligibility:
- Open to recognized researchers (stage 2 in the EURAXESS definition), holding a PhD or equivalent qualification, of any nationality, and compliant with the MSCA-COFUND mobility rule
- No seniority requirement; however, candidates should not hold a permanent position at the start of the fellowship
- Applicants have the liberty to design their research projects within the program’s Key Research Areas, spanning various disciplines
- MSCA Mobility Rule: EUTOPIA-SIF fellows must not have resided or conducted their primary activity (work, studies, etc.) in the selected primary host university country for more than 12 months in the three years preceding the deadline for applications.
