The Amahoro Fellowship program is designed to empower exceptional individuals who have experienced being forcibly displaced persons (FDPs), providing them with the necessary skills and resources to effect transformative change. Over the course of 12 months, the program offers FDP leaders a platform to share and develop their ideas on a global scale, expand their networks, seize various professional opportunities, and come together as a collaborative and impactful cohort. The potential of FDP entrepreneurs and change agents is incredibly inspiring, and as a network of change agents working for good and long-term ecosystems and systemic shifts, Fellows have the power to make a real impact in the world. They can catalyze solutions in Africa and around the world by using their voices, talents, experience, and inventions, promoting cooperation and creation on the scale required for long-term change.
Amahoro’s program is designed expressly to reflect Africa’s socioeconomic situation, with the goal of cultivating the entrepreneurship and leadership skills required for success. It offers customized courses that enable fellows to gain invaluable knowledge, refine their unique skills, and develop innovative strategies to thrive. Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in a competitive funding process, where they can secure up to $100,000 each to scale their impact. The ultimate objective of the program is to equip FDPs with the self-sufficiency and resilience to effectively drive social and economic progress.

The Amahoro Fellowship Program stands out by offering a truly transformative experience for young FDP leaders committed to profoundly impacting their communities. Here’s what sets us apart:

In addition to providing access to the private sector, funding opportunities of up to $100,000, and connections to esteemed business mentors, we offer comprehensive coaching tailored to the unique circumstances of FDPs.
