Applications are invited from African nationals for scholarships in the fields of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, and Biomaterials/Biomedical Engineering.
ELbM scholarships are jointly administered by four (4) African partner institutions, where selected students and staff will be able to engage in postgraduate studies, research, teaching, or training.
Eligibility:
- All applicants must be of African descent.
- The applicant must have graduated from their undergraduate institution.
- Candidates are required to demonstrate a high level of English language proficiency.

Award Value: The ELbM scholarship provides a contribution towards the research costs associated with student mobility of 10 months or longer, as well as a round-trip air ticket, visa costs, participation costs such as tuition fees, registration and service fees, insurance (health, accident, travel), a settling-in allowance, and a monthly subsistence allowance. Additionally, the scholarship covers the costs of a monthly subsistence allowance.
The total number of awards is 22.
The procedure of Application: In order to be considered for a scholarship, candidates must first submit an admissions application to one of the participating partner institutions. Candidates can submit their applications for this scholarship by filling out an online application form.
The deadline for applications is March 31st, 2023.
