Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 One Young World Summit Engage Billions Scholarship. This scholarship aims to support young policy leaders worldwide in attending the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal as part of BMW Group’s global delegation. Additionally, scholars will be able to participate in a special “Welcome! New Parliament” event, bringing together young leaders from business, policy-making, and NGOs in Brussels, the European capital of policy-making.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will be emerging leaders actively engaged in and influencing the intersection of democracy and climate policy. They should possess at least two years of experience in one of the following capacities:
- Serving in a policy or advisory role related to climate policy at the national or supra-national level within government or civil service.
- Engaged in policy advocacy regarding climate issues within a national or international NGO or think tank.
- Holding a leadership position within a youth or student-led organization dedicated to advancing progressive climate policy and enhancing democratic engagement.
- A leadership role within a community-led organization advocating for progressive climate policy and increased democratic participation.
In addition, candidates must:
- Be aged between 18 and 30 by May 2024
- Must commit to attending the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montreal from September 17th to 21st.
- Must be prepared to take part in the Welcome! New Parliament Youth Summit in Brussels in June or July 2024.
