This year, the existing scholarship programs, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of Polish development aid—the Banach Scholarship Program and the Lukasiewicz Scholarship Program—have been merged into a single scholarship program. This program targets young people from developing countries who wish to pursue studies in Poland.
The Program
The initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, aimed at supporting the socio-economic development of developing countries by enhancing the education and knowledge of their citizens. It offers scholarships for second-degree studies in Polish or English at Polish universities, under the supervision of the Minister of Education and Science, in fields such as engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences, exact sciences, and life sciences.

The program’s goal is to contribute to the socio-economic progress of developing countries by providing higher education opportunities to their citizens through scholarships.
Requirements
Citizens of the following countries are eligible to apply for the NAWA scholarship: Albania, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Palestine, Peru, the Philippines, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
Additionally, citizens from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Montenegro, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan can pursue second-degree studies in the humanities and social sciences under the program, except for philological studies in their native language.
