Application Guidelines for Season 3 of the Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN) Prize for Innovation Competition

The Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN) Prize for Innovation Competition is currently receiving applications for its third season. The initiative was launched to promote fresh ideas and inventive solutions in the food and agro-allied sectors, both in Nigeria and across the continent. The goal is to explore how these innovations can contribute to and facilitate the establishment of a sustainable food system in Nigeria.

The third season of the FMN Prize for Innovation (PFI) will specifically target innovators operating within the food and agro-allied sectors, actively and creatively working towards achieving food self-sufficiency in Nigeria. The PFI management team, under the auspices of the Group, will evaluate, scrutinize, and assess the methodologies employed by these participants. Winning concepts and content will be rewarded with the necessary resources and support to enhance their business sustainability progressively.

Requirements:

  • The competition is open to individuals residing in Nigeria, aged 18 years or older, excluding employees of the organizer and their immediate family members, as well as anyone with direct affiliations to the organization or involvement in the competition’s judging process.
  • Engaging in this competition is free, and no purchase is obligatory.
  • Each participant is restricted to the submission of a solitary entry. Submitting multiple entries from the same individual will result in disqualification.

Awards and Entry Guidelines.

If you operate a registered food or agro-allied business in Nigeria or if you are a student with a keen interest in the food and agro-allied industry, we invite you to participate in the second installment of FMN’s Prize for Innovation.

This year’s competition focuses on exploring inventive approaches to enhance the utilization of local materials in the food industry to meet growing demands at the local level.

Registered Businesses (Micro, Small & Medium-Scale Enterprise Owners)

Category 2:

Nigerian Students (Undergraduates & Postgraduates)
