This comprehensive page offers all the essential information you need, from the scholarship application form and eligibility requirements to the advantages it brings and the crucial application deadline. Waste no time; take the first step toward your dreams and apply now.

The AU EGL scholarship is a golden opportunity that covers all billable expenses at American University for a deserving international student who will require a student visa (F-1 or J-1 student visa, ideally) to pursue their education in the United States. This means it encompasses full tuition, room, and board, ensuring that your financial concerns are addressed comprehensively. However, it’s important to note that non-billable expenses such as mandatory health insurance, books, airline tickets, and miscellaneous costs (approximately U.S. $4,000 per year) are not part of the scholarship’s coverage. The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship has a noble mission: to expand educational access and opportunities while enriching international diversity. It combines the best of AU—academic excellence, leadership development, and global engagement—allowing the AU Emerging Global Leader to achieve, inspire, and serve with vision. Moreover, the AU EGL is deeply committed to promoting positive civic and social change and returning to its home country to contribute to under-resourced and underserved communities.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • The scholarship encompasses full tuition, fees, room, and board for an exceptional international student entering their first year (freshman).
