Job Description:
- Plan and oversee shipments from manufacturing to end-user.
- Schedule daily and weekly routes
- Track orders with the use of practical tools.
- Track and report on the cost of transportation
- Ensure that shipping documentation is appropriately filed.
- Report maintenance and repair requirements for vehicles and equipment.
- Investigate and recommend cost-effective transportation options.
- Conduct frequent vehicle safety inspections.
- Organize staff training courses (for example, appropriate equipment operation and hazardous material handling).
- Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules, and completed orders
- Ensure that corporate policies and shipping regulations are followed.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- B.Sc/HND in any Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or any related Courses.
- 1 -2 years of proven experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role
- Must have vast Knowledge of Petroleum Haulage and Transportation
- Solid knowledge of supply chain management
- Experience preparing and tracking orders
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and train staff
