The Mkpatabasi Houston Chapter extends an invitation to students enrolled in tertiary institutions in Nigeria, who are natives of Ikot Abasi and Mkpat Enin LGAs in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, to participate in its Special Education Grant Award program. This program provides a one-time Education Grant to eligible students who successfully secure the award. The grant is limited in quantity and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible candidates from either of the two LGAs must finalize and submit their application forms to MKPATABASI Houston Chapter Special Education Grants Award, the granting body, by June 30th, 2024, at the latest.
Requirements:
• Applicants must be natives of either Ikot Abasi LGA or Mkpat Enin LGA in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
• Applicants must be enrolled in a college, polytechnic, or university (higher institutions) during the 2023/24 academic year.
• Students must be registered in the school and in the semester during which the award is given.
• All applicants must demonstrate financial need.
• Applicants must provide evidence (transcript) of having completed at least one semester examination with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
