Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited (IDPIL) Bursary Scholarship 2024: Eligibility, Application Process, and Deadline

In its effort to foster peaceful and prosperous communities through high-quality education, the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited is launching a scholarship and bursary program to assist students from the division attending public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The aim is to incentivize outstanding academic performance, creating a hub for human development and investment growth in the future of the Ikorodu division.

Moreover, recognizing the challenges faced by indigent students, particularly in the aftermath of COVID-19 and the global economic downturn, which has made it difficult for many parents to meet their children’s educational needs, resulting in school dropouts and increased vulnerability to negative influences such as crime and cultism. Against this backdrop, the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited Scholarship/Bursary scheme aims to provide educational support to young people as an intervention to address these challenges.

Benefits:

  • Bursary 1: This award is a one-time grant and does not have a set duration. Applicants will undergo a background check on their submitted documents.
  • Bursary 2: This award is also a one-time grant and is exclusively for indigenes. Applicants will undergo a background check as well.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students in any public tertiary institution in Nigeria.
  • Must be at least in their second year (200 Level) and above, with a verifiable CGPA.
  • Proof of indigeneship is required, which can be in the form of a letter of identification from a recognized traditional ruler and Local Government/LCDA. Residents must provide a Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) card as proof.
  • For the “Bursary 1” application, academic performance serves as the criterion and is open to both indigenous individuals and residents. Applicants must have a good academic standing, with a CGPA of at least 3.5 or Second Class Upper Division for universities, and Upper Credit for Polytechnics, Monotechnics, and Colleges of Education.
  • ” The “Bursary 2” application is specifically reserved for indigenous individuals experiencing financial challenges in their education. While no specific academic grade is required, applicants should have a CGPA of at least 2.50 or a lower credit.

Application Documents:

  • An academic profile that has been approved by the department head or university registrar.
  • A letter of identification from a recognized traditional ruler (for indigenes).
  • Evidence of residency via the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) card.
  • Any other relevant supporting documentation.
