Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025 SAICA Thuthuka Bursary Fund. This bursary is exclusively available to individuals aspiring to become Chartered Accountants.
Please note that this document serves solely as an application and does not constitute any form of funding agreement or commitment.
To receive the bursary, successful applicants must sign agreements with both the Thuthuka Education and Upliftment Fund (TEUF) and the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
It’s important to note that the Thuthuka Bursary cannot be utilized to settle pre-existing loans or debts.
Applicants will be assessed based on their academic performance, results from the National Benchmark Test (NBT), and financial need as determined by the NSFAS financial means test.
This funding application pertains to the 2025 academic year.
Your application will be considered incomplete if:
- The consent form remains unsigned, or
- All essential documentation has not been submitted.

- Signed consent form (downloadable here)
- Applicant’s identification
- Parent(s)’ or Guardian(s)’ identification
- Parent(s)’ or Guardian(s)’ salary slips
- Copies of identification documents for dependents of family income
- Final Grade 11 results
- Final Grade 12 results (if Grade 12 has been completed)
- Complete university transcript (if currently enrolled in university)
- Provisional acceptance letter from university (if still in high school).
