Applications are currently being accepted for the 2023/2024 Federal Government Scholarship Awards, also known as the Nigerian Scholarship and Education Bursary Award. The Federal Ministry of Education invites interested and qualified Nigerians to apply for the 2023/2024 Nigerian Scholarship Award (NSA) and Education Bursary Award (EBA), which are tenable in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.
NIGERIAN SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE NIGERIAN SCHOLARSHIP AWARD INCLUDE:
- Postgraduate applicants must hold a minimum of a first degree with Second Class Honors in the Upper Division.
- Candidates must be enrolled as full-time students at Federal or State Universities.
- Undergraduate, Higher National Diploma (HND), and National Certificate in Education (NCE) applicants must be registered full-time students in their second year or above, in Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, or Colleges of Education. All undergraduate scholarship candidates, including those with disabilities, must possess a minimum Cumulative Grade point aggregate (CGPA) of 4.0 on a five-point scale or 5.0 on a seven-point scale, or its equivalent.
- Applicants pursuing NCE and HND programs must achieve a CGPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

- Medicine and Medical Sciences
- Education
- Agriculture
- Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences
- Entrepreneurial Studies
- Information and Communication Technology

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
All eligible candidates should:
- Visit www.education.gov.ng and locate the Federal Scholarship Board symbol on the homepage.
- Review the guidelines and complete the online application form.
- Print the completed form.
- Please note that submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
- Attach the following documents
- Letter of Admission to the Institution
- CGPA result
- National Identity Number
- State of Origin Certificate
- The registration portal will be open from April 2nd, 2024, to May 13th, 2024.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Awards are valid in Nigeria and commence from the beginning of the academic session.
- No award will be granted simultaneously with another award or for part-time studies.
- Changing course or institution while enjoying the award is not permitted.
