Sankofatech’s Achievers in Technology (AIT) is a comprehensive four-year scholarship and mentorship initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of African technology leaders in the United States. We recognize that technology may not be the first choice for youth of African descent due to limited knowledge about the industry, misconceptions within the community, and a lack of access to resources.
To address these challenges, the AIT program offers a structured curriculum over four years to empower scholars with essential skills and provide access to a supportive network of peers, mentors, advisors, and accomplished professionals in the technology sector.

*The scholarship is subject to the scholar’s continued participation in the Sankofatech’s Achievers in Technology Program and enrollment in a qualified STEM major.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be enrolling as first-year students at a U.S. college or university for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in technology fields such as Software Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, Information Security, Project/Program Management, Networking, Database Administration, etc.
- Applicants must be of African descent.
- Applicants must come from low-income households.
Selection Process:
Interested students should adhere to the following steps to participate in the AIT program:
- Complete the application form by Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Successful candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview.
- Sankofatech will inform all applicants of the final decision by July 2024.
