Written by admin

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 UNFPA Youth Leaders (YoLe) Fellowship Programme. This initiative, spearheaded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is committed to realizing a world where every pregnancy is desired, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is realized. In line with UNFPA’s focus on youth, UNFPA Ghana has introduced the Youth Leaders (YoLe) Fellowship Programme, which aligns with UNFPA’s Youth Strategy, “My Body, My Life, and My World,” as well as the broader United Nations Youth Strategy urging agencies to enhance global, regional, and national efforts to meet the needs, empower, and uphold the rights of young people in all their diversity.

Moreover, the YoLe Fellowship Programme is in harmony with the Government of Ghana’s youth development agenda, emphasizing economic and financial empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, employment, agriculture, migration, mobility, and sexual and reproductive health, as outlined in Ghana’s National Youth Policy of 2010.

The YoLe Fellowship, spanning one year, aims to equip fellows with the skills to become innovative and transformative leaders. It offers opportunities for professional and career growth in leadership across various sectors, including the UN system. Additionally, fellows receive personalized mentorship and coaching from accomplished figures in various fields.
