Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025 J.P. Morgan Jumpstart Internship Program. J.P. Morgan’s South African division invites recent graduates who are unemployed to apply for this internship opportunity.
As a 2025 Jumpstart Intern within J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), you’ll have the chance to experience a world-class organization within the South African franchise. You’ll be placed in one of our lines of business, such as Banking, Markets, Operations, Finance, or Technology, and will have the opportunity to receive mentorship from our professionals and leaders, both locally and globally.
The program will be located in Johannesburg and will run from January 2025 to December 2025, with the potential for extension until December 2026. Shortlisted candidates for the 2025 Jumpstart Internship Program will be expected to successfully complete a 3-week Winter Internship Program during the 2024 winter university vacation period (July 1, 2024, to July 19, 2024).
Responsibilities:
- Undertakes tasks and undergoes training specific to the placement area
- Actively participates in projects from inception to completion and provides support for tasks related to the assigned placement area
Qualifications, Abilities, and Skills Required:
- Legal authorization to work in South Africa
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in any field (final-year students are eligible)
- Proficiency in English language
- Self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude and capability to thrive under pressure
- Effective communication and attentive listening skills
- Detail-oriented, systematic, and well-organized
- Proficient analytical and managerial abilities, with a commitment to meeting strict deadlines
