Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024–2025 Qalaa Holdings Foundation Scholarships. Established in 2007, the Qalaa Holdings Scholarship Foundation aims to contribute to national development by nurturing highly skilled professionals to bolster Egypt’s progress across all sectors. Supported by an endowment from Qalaa Holdings, the Foundation offers academic scholarships to talented and promising young Egyptian individuals to pursue master’s degrees abroad in various fields of study.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be under 35 years old.
- Must hold Egyptian citizenship and reside in Egypt.
- A minimum of two years of post-graduation work experience is required.
- Intending to pursue studies at a top-ranked university abroad in their chosen field.
- Must have received unconditional acceptance at the university and program of choice (except for funding conditions).
- Proficiency in the language of study is essential, along with a good command of English.
- Engagement in civic, public, or international affairs activities (e.g., NGOs, volunteer work) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated genuine financial need.
- Not receiving any other partial scholarships or grants, except for waivers from the chosen university.
- Upon completion of the program, scholars must commit to returning to work in Egypt for a minimum of 2 years.
- Clear military service status is required for male applicants.
Timeline:
- April 15th: Deadline for submitting applications.
- May: Shortlisting completed, with semi-finalists contacted for personal interviews.
- June: Announcement of scholarship recipients.
- During July and August, scholars will be placed and depart for their respective locations.
