The Residence Scholarship for Hälsingland Decorated Farmhouses World Heritage Site was founded in 2018. It targets individuals with cultural, artistic, or research proposals linked to UNESCO World Heritage. The initiative aims to forge connections between the Hälsingland Decorated Farmhouses World Heritage site and other global UNESCO sites.
The Gävleborg region in Sweden established the international World Heritage Residence Scholarship at the Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland site.
One of UNESCO’s goals is fostering connections among individuals and promoting global cooperation, centered around peace. This scholarship aligns with these principles, striving to arouse interest and appreciation for shared human heritage through UNESCO World Heritage sites. Gävleborg consistently seeks innovative concepts that create artistic and creative collaborations, integrating culture, music, art, and various other disciplines, between the Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland and other global World Heritage sites.
