The NYU Africa House Fellowship is now accepting applications, offering six (6) research grants for current undergraduate and graduate students. These grants, each valued at $1,500, aim to aid two (2) students in financing research endeavors focused on discovering innovative solutions to enhance the quality of life in developing regions. The fellowship facilitates research projects during the Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2024, covering costs linked to research activities within specific Africa House/CTED research domains:
- Economic and Political Theory
- Economic Development and Technology
- Food and Agricultural Markets
- Migration and Diaspora
- Cultural Norms, Local Governance, and Property Rights Development
Eligibility
Criteria stipulate that applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at New York University and are expected to graduate no earlier than May 2025.
Applicants are required to:
- Outline their involvement in Africa House/CTED’s intellectual life in the Fellowship Application Form.
- Produce or co-produce one (1) research paper presenting findings from their project, to be submitted to Africa House/CTED in Spring 2025.
- Present their research outcomes at Africa House in Spring 2025.
