Heinrich Boll Foundation’s 2024 Internship Program for International Students

Written by admin

The Transatlantic Democracy program fosters collaboration among US and German policymakers, activists, experts, civil society organizations, and community leaders to address challenges impacting our democratic systems. Presently, the program centers its efforts on civil rights, domestic policy, democratic resilience, and reconciliation with historical legacies.

The Foreign and Security Policy program tackles global issues related to peace, security, democracy, and human rights through a worldwide lens. Current program initiatives concentrate on the transatlantic relationship, the Ukraine conflict, and the evolution of the multilateral order. These programs typically employ formats such as panel discussions, policy brief publications, articles, study tours, and delegation visits.

This internship opportunity suits students with a background in international relations, public policy, history, German, or European politics. Ideal candidates possess a sound understanding of both the American and German political landscapes and a keen interest in pertinent policy challenges across program areas. Individuals willing to contribute to global dialog formats (like public events, workshops, study tours) and pursue independent research on relevant program issues are particularly encouraged to apply.
