Key Programme Highlights:
- Duration: 21 months in an industry-designated college

- Electrical Maintenance

Qualifications include:
- Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 2 for Performing Engineering Operation
- National Certificate (multi-discipline)
- Higher National Certificate (allocated discipline)
- OPITO Global Standards – Oil & Gas Level 2
Post-college, OGTAP apprentices invest two years with an endorsing energy corporation, undergoing expert guidance and mentorship. This period focuses on acquiring industry-specific skills, culminating in achieving an SVQ Level 3 in their chosen discipline.
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a National Identity Number (NIN) before applying for the OGTAP Scheme. NIN verification is mandatory (NIMC verification charges apply). Note: Multiple applications lead to automatic disqualification.
- Age Requirement: 16-35 years by May of the application year
Academic Criteria:
- Ordinary Level (O’ Level) WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS with a credit grade of C in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, and one other.
- Consideration is also given to applicants with qualifications in Engineering, Science, and related fields, including Diploma (OND & Others), Higher National Diploma (HND, NCE & Others), Bachelor’s Degree (BSC/BENG & Others), Post Graduate (PGD/MSC/PHD & Others).
