AKADEMIYA2063 proudly presents the fourth ReSAKSS Data Challenge! This competition invites data enthusiasts to unleash their creativity and analytical prowess using resources from the ReSAKSS website and digital platforms. The goal is to craft innovative knowledge products that address Africa’s development challenges.
This annual Africa-wide challenge spans four categories, including:
- Essays and Reports: recognizing outstanding research papers, articles, essays, or journal contributions offering solutions to African issues
- Visual Arts: Highlighting the most inventive infographics, illustrations, and videos
- IT Products and Services: Acknowledging the most inventive applications and tools
- High School Projects: Celebrating the most innovative projects from high school students
Eligibility Criteria:
- This challenge is open to researchers, high school and university students, graphic designers, IT specialists, analysts, and all individuals in Africa who are passionate about creatively using available data to communicate and address Africa’s development challenges. It extends to both those residing within Africa and the diaspora.
- Participants under 13 years old must have their application submitted by a parent or legal guardian, while those under 18 require permission from a parent or legal guardian.
- Previous winners are not eligible to apply.
Prizes:
- 1st Prize: $1,500 USD in each category.
- 2nd Prize: $1,000 USD in each category.
- 3rd Prize: $500 USD in each category.
