Applications from refugee-led groups are presently being accepted for the Refugee-led Innovation Fund. The Refugee-led Innovation Fund promotes the inventiveness of all displaced and stateless people. It strives to reconfigure their engagement in humanitarian work by guaranteeing that they are at the center of choices that impact their lives, leading to the identification of needs and the invention of new solutions.
The Fund provides comprehensive support to refugee-led groups, combining financial resources, mentorship, and other skills, to allow them to create and deploy novel solutions that have a long-term beneficial impact on their communities.
Organizations headed by displaced and stateless persons make significant contributions to their communities but need help in obtaining direct and flexible support. Too frequently, they are excluded from established networks of entrepreneurs and innovators, resulting in limited access to knowledge, information, and resources that may help them double their influence.
The Refugee-led Innovation Fund offers a significant transformation in program architecture. It uses a grassroots approach in which individuals who have been displaced are directly supplied with real financial resources and help to implement creative ways.
Eligibility Requirements
Only groups run by people who have experienced forced displacement can apply. This comprises refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, returnees, and stateless individuals.|
Method of Application
Applications go through a two-stage selection process.
In the first stage, organizations are invited to submit a brief expression of interest by 30 June 2023 at 23:59 CET. This expression of interest will provide a short overview of the identified challenge and proposed solution.
