The UNESCO Poland Fellowship aims to bolster human resource capacities in developing nations and foster international understanding and camaraderie among countries.
This six-month internship program provides selected recipients with living expenses, accommodation, tuition waivers, and access to university amenities. The fellowship, held at the AGH University of Krakow, UNESCO AGH Chair (A. Mickiewicza Ave. 30, PL 30-059 Krakow, Poland), spans six months.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the UNESCO Poland Internship 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Fulfill specific English language or other language requirements if applying from outside their home country.
- Have a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) or a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree for engineering candidates.
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Archaeology or Conservation, for those applying for the Archeology Fellowship.
- Show competency in English reading and writing.
- Be under 40 years old.
Duration and Benefits:
The award provided by Polish Authorities includes:
- Tuition fees are waived, and students have access to university amenities at no cost.
- Accommodation is available at the AGH UST Student Campus in Krakow.
- Monthly allowance of 2200 PLN.
UNESCO Facilities Provided:
- Coverage of international travel expenses to and from Poland.
- Health insurance coverage.
- a unique 120 USD pocket allowance given once.
Required Documents for Duration and Reward:
When applying for the UNESCO Poland Fellowship, you will need to submit the following documents:
1. Completed UNESCO fellowship application form: Ensure all four pages are completed in English using capital letters.
2. A copy of the applicant’s identity photo.
3. Certified copies (in English) of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees obtained.
4. UNESCO certificate of language proficiency.
5. Two endorsement letters from individuals acquainted with your professional background.
Application Procedure:

- Once you receive endorsement and nomination from your country’s National Commission for UNESCO, submit your application by email to archaeology.poland@unesco.org (for archaeology applicants) or agh.poland@unesco.org (for engineering applicants).
- Fill out the online form completely and send it in.
