Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship, open to young Nigerians who wish to pursue studies at foreign universities of their choice.
The NDDC Scholarship is fully funded, covering tuition fees, flight tickets, visa expenses, accommodation, and living expenses for selected candidates. The scholarship also takes into account the exchange rate between the country’s currency and the foreign institution’s currency.
The scholarship, offered by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), is part of its human resource development initiatives aimed at providing Niger Deltans with the necessary training and skills to actively participate in the local content program of the current administration and compete globally across various professional fields.
Eligible candidates for the NDDC Scholarship must hold relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees from reputable universities in disciplines such as Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geosciences, Information Technology, Law, Management Sciences, Medicine, Architecture, and Hospitality Management.
Requirements for consideration include being from the Niger Delta Region, completion of the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), possessing a First Degree with a minimum of 2nd Class-Lower division for those interested in pursuing a Master’s Programme, having no affiliation with any cult group, no criminal record, and securing admission for a Postgraduate Programme in one of the listed disciplines at a Foreign University.

- Completed online application form
- Recent passport photograph
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Admission letter for postgraduate studies from a recognized overseas university. Relevant degrees from recognized universities.
- WASSCE/NECO results
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
- Written consent of good conduct from a guarantor, who must be one of the following individuals from the applicant’s Community/Clan:
– Member of National Assembly/State House of Assembly
– Chairman of LGA
– First Class Traditional Ruler
– High Court Judge
