Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy Program (MTFza). MTFza is a 12-month comprehensive industry readiness program that provides participants with the opportunity to learn from prominent figures in the TV and film industry while gaining valuable experience in various skills such as directing, producing, cinematography, commissioning, and more.
This educational program is designed to cultivate emerging TV and film talent in Africa through a 12-month immersion program that combines theoretical learning with hands-on experience in cinematography, editing, audio production, and storytelling. It stands as the first academy of its kind, spanning three regions and encompassing 13 countries across Africa. Sixty deserving young and talented candidates aspiring to work and innovate in film and television production are allowed to refine their skills alongside industry experts. This fully-funded year-long program is delivered through accredited regional MTF Academies in collaboration with reputable local academic institutions, with specific locations in Kenya (for East Africa), Nigeria (for West Africa), and Zambia (for Southern Africa).
Eligibility Criteria:
- You must hold South African citizenship.
- You should have completed a 3-year diploma or degree in film and TV or a related qualification (Drama, Acting, Journalism, etc.) within the last 2 years.
- You must have achieved a minimum aggregate of C+.
Application Process

- Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) – limited to 2 pages.
- Personal Motivation Letter, not exceeding 500 words (explain why you should be selected).
- Official copies of academic transcripts or certificates from tertiary institutions.
- Authenticated duplicates of academic transcripts or certificates for tertiary qualifications.
- Verified confirmation of banking details, endorsed by the bank with an official stamp and/or letter.
- Evidence of a residential address along with an affidavit.
