Applications are now being accepted for the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation’s (KBC) Industrial Attachment Program. Established under the KBC Act (Cap. 221) and operating within the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, the Corporation is dedicated to providing excellent broadcast services to its audience, customers, and the public. Its mission is to inform, educate, and entertain through radio services, television services, and other digital media platforms.
The Corporation is pleased to announce industrial attachment opportunities for continuing undergraduate/diploma-level students. This program offers practical exposure and on-the-job experience in a workplace environment, allowing participants to apply knowledge related to their areas of study, acquire new skills, build professional networks, and understand workplace expectations. This initiative aligns with the government’s Youth Empowerment Project, aimed at cultivating a pool of young talents for the Kenyan labour market.
Requirements:
- Third or fourth-year degree students from a recognized university or second-year diploma students from a recognized college.
- Completion of the online application form.
- A recommendation letter from the university or college (an attached copy is required).
- Copy of National Identification Card /Passport (attached copy required).
- KBC Commitment Form/Personal Insurance Cover.
Duration of Attachment:
The industrial attachment opportunities are offered across various departments for a maximum (non-renewable) period of three (3) months, from April 2, 2024, to June 30, 2024.
Selection Criteria for Industrial Attachment:
- Relevance of the field of specialization to the course.
- Availability of space to accommodate the trainee within the Corporation.
- Availability of necessary facilities and attachment slots.
- Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Year of study (third and fourth years for degree students, and second year for diploma students).

Interested students who meet the above requirements should submit all necessary documents via kbcattachment@gmail.com before 28th March 2024. Only successful applicants will be notified and invited for industrial attachment.
