Applications are currently being accepted for the Goethe Institut Talents Scholarship. The Goethe Talents Scholarship is a 12-day program that aims to encourage and connect young, aspiring musicians, such as singer-songwriters and composers. This scholarship program is a collaboration between the Goethe-Institut and “Pop-Kultur” and will commemorate its 10-year partnership anniversary in 2024.
Requirements:
- The scholarship targets musicians between approximately 20 and 30 years old who have already gained some experience in the music field and possess a proficient command of the English language.

Program Details:
- The program offers a range of activities to experience the vibrant music scene of Berlin before the actual festival, including studio visits, intensive group jam sessions, short internships in selected companies from Berlin’s creative industries, listening sessions, and meetings with scholarship holders of Musicboard Berlin GmbH, among other activities.
- Key features of the promotion and exchange program include participation in “Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs,” the official talent program of the festival, intensive studio collaborations among all Goethe Talents 2024 participants, and the opportunity to experience the full program of “Pop-Kultur” Live.
- Additionally, participants will join the Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs program held on August 28th–30th at Kulturbrauerei Berlin. International professionals will provide personal insights into their work and share their knowledge through studio visits, workshops, case studies, and interactive talks.
Benefits:
- The Goethe-Institut will cover the participation cost, lodging, travel expenses, and meals (per diem) from August 22nd to September 2nd, 2024.
- Additionally, the Goethe-Institut will arrange and cover the cost of flights and assist with visa appointments.
- Furthermore, Musicboard Berlin will provide complimentary festival tickets with access to Pop-Kultur’s networking area for professionals of all talents, arrange accommodation (inclusive of breakfast), cover health insurance, and provide public transportation within Berlin.
