The London School of Economics and Political Science is pleased to introduce the Ambassador E.O. Kolade scholarship, aimed at talented African students applying to the Masters programs for the upcoming academic year 2024–25.
Benefits:
The scholarship offers a value of £27,400 and will be granted primarily based on financial need, followed by exceptional academic achievement.
Requirements:
- Eligible candidates must be citizens of and residing in a country in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Selection will be based on a combination of merit and financial need.
To have your application considered, you must meet both of the following criteria by the deadline:
- Receive a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to LSE.
- Successfully submit a Graduate Financial Support Application.
It is advisable to submit your admission application well ahead of the April funding deadline. Refer to the guidance on the optimal timing for admission applications.
Selection Process:
After submitting your Graduate Financial Support application, please allow up to 24 hours to receive a decision regarding your eligibility for the Graduate Support Scheme.
The decision will be accessible through the Graduate Application Portal.
The information provided in your Graduate Financial Support Application will also be used to evaluate your eligibility for other scholarships offered, if you meet the criteria. Only successful applicants will be contacted regarding the outcome of these awards. Notifications will be sent out during May, June, and July 2024. To ensure you receive these notifications, add ‘lse.ac.uk’ to your email account’s ‘safe senders’ list to prevent them from being directed to your junk inbox.
Due to the high volume of applications received annually, individual feedback on your application cannot be provided.

To begin your application process for admission to LSE, click the provided link. Once your admissions application is submitted, you will receive access to the Graduate Applicant Portal. This portal allows you to monitor the progress of your admission application and includes a link to the Graduate Financial Support Application.
Unless stated otherwise on the specific scholarship page, all scholarships for graduate studies are applied for via the Graduate Financial Support Application. The information provided in this application will be used to assess your eligibility for the Graduate Support Scheme.
If you complete the personal statement section of the Graduate Financial Support Application, you will also be considered for any other scholarships for which you may qualify. There is no need to submit separate applications for each scholarship.
Please note that your financial information will not be considered part of your admissions application to LSE.
