The University of Copenhagen is providing opportunities for international students to pursue their studies in Denmark through the Government of Denmark Scholarship program.
These scholarships, awarded by the Danish Government, can cover either full or partial tuition fees, as well as provide financial support for living expenses during the duration of your studies.

Scholarship Details
The Danish Government Scholarship program, administered by the University of Copenhagen (UCPH), offers a limited number of tuition waivers and grants.
These scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded to exceptionally talented students with outstanding academic achievements from non-EU/EEU countries. All non-EU/EEA applicants who are offered admission are automatically considered for the scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded solely based on academic merit; therefore, financial need is not taken into account. For specific selection criteria and procedures for each faculty, please refer to the information provided at the bottom of this page.
Requirements
To be eligible for the Government of Denmark Scholarships, applicants must:
- Be citizens of a country outside the EU, EEA (European Economic Area), or Switzerland
- Must have received admission to a master’s degree program at the University of Copenhagen
- Have been granted a time-limited residence permit for the purpose of studying a higher educational program in Denmark
- fulfill the university’s entrance requirements
Duration and Reward
The Danish Government Scholarship may cover either full or partial tuition fees and/or provide financial support for basic living expenses.
