The French Embassy in Nigeria is pleased to announce the introduction of a brand new scholarship program that will provide financial support for the completion of a Master’s degree at a French university beginning in the academic year 2023/2024. Five grants will be given to the laureates who want to study Computer Science-related subjects.
The French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, in conjunction with the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, is responsible for providing funding for this initiative. The French Embassy in Nigeria and Campus France Nigeria are responsible for its implementation.
Academic specializations:
• Computer Science
• Data Science
• Artificial Intelligence
• Optics, images, and multimedia
• interaction with computers
Conditions for eligibility:
• Have Nigerian citizenship and make your home in the country.
• You must be completely committed to enrolling in a program of study in France beginning in September/October 2023/2024 for the academic year.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
• possess either a Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma in a field related to science, engineering, or technology
• have served their country in the NYSC scheme
• The ability to speak French is not a prerequisite for the application.
Necessary documents:
• Copy of the information page of your international passport, which must be valid for at least two (2) years.
• In-depth curriculum vitae
• Personal statement
• Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent
• Undergraduate transcript
• Letter of recommendation from your present or most recent institution (not mandatory but strongly recommended)
Timeline:
• The deadline for submission of applications is the 16th of April, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Nigerian time. The application period begins on March 17th, 2023.
• Students will get all of the pertinent information necessary to complete their applications during a webinar that will take place on March 17th.
• The application deadline is set for April 16th.
• Interviews with qualified applicants will take place on May 8th, 2023.
• 17 May 2023: Announcement of results and recommendations to the French host university
• The trip to France will begin in September or October of 2023.
Applicants are reminded that the only place where they will be able to acquire information on the France Nigeria Scholarship Programme is at one of the offices of Campus France Nigeria located in either Lagos or Abuja. There will be no charge made to your credit card for the processing of this particular application.
